The idea came to me while working on cutout animation, where you should achieve a convincing pose from cutouts that resemble any full line drawing, and it will still be easier to build a pose from cutouts then develop it into full line sketch. So I started by scribbling some cutouts-like doodles, and then rebuilt them into full sketches. The main target was to realign your cutouts into convincing poses for animation, it's like the wooden doll that can impress the audience moving its joints.

Challenge of Two Poems

It was pretty tough, though inspiring to come with two stories out from two poems, or words on paper. It was very much more tricky than ordinary illustration of a scenario . But finally I came up with something that maybe could not translate the same figurative images, but some how my own conception and understanding of what I read. Now still there's the effort from the audience to re-translate my own pictures back to their origin. The challenge mainly was to depict the images in a poem talks about anxiety and how recognition leads to sad truth. And another poem by German poet, Rilke's, "Archaic Torso of Apollo". And of course, to try adding the element of creativity.

Horse' Animation: How It Was Done?

I drew this animation on two papers. I didn't use the usual way of animation; that is drawing every frame on a separate paper, instead I drew about six drawings or frames on each paper beside each others. I imagined the limbs of the horse as if they are coming out of two balls; every two limbs are coming out of each ball...this made it easy to create the movement...after deciding the movement of the limbs of one ball I synchronized the movement of the other ball with it as follows: when the right rear leg is down on the ground the right foreleg will be floating, and that's apply to the other side.

After an advice by professional artists who kindly accepted my invitation to visit the blog, I shifted the gear a little bit, and made some sketches, trying to keep up with the daily practice to improve my artistic attitude. Many thanks to Marcelo Vignali, and Nathaniel West.

The dramatic poses of comic heroes always inspire me. I try to draw loosely as much as I can and to enjoy the movement and the gesture, and to give every character a special personality. and also to have fun.

I'm a big fan of Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez and the legend Don Newton. I like the dramatic sense in their work.

Don Newton's style inspires me and every time I watch his work I feel it's just done to be acted more than told. The incredible light and shadow add to the suspense in his work, something can't be seen in other artists styles.

Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez is truly the master of dynamic superman, sometimes I feel he had outstepped Curt Swan in the flexible style that is so discreet.

Nostromo

Nostromo is a novel by Joseph Conrad, I have drawn sketches of some critical events in novel.

Nostromo is an Italian who was adopted by old George Viola, and had dedicated himself to the public demand. He at first doesn't ask why to do this until he became socially conscious, then he starts see the real picture, that he was exploited by the rich and powerful ones to attain their colonial ambitions. His awareness accompanies a new emersion, when he himself begins to divert to the same materialistic passion, which finally leads to his fall.
